Evelyn Medina

Evelyn Medina, born in Guatemala in 1968. My family migrated to Southern CA in 1976 and I grew up in Los Angeles. I was a California girl thru and thru until I got tired of the traffic and smog and decided to try my luck in a very different environment. A business opportunity brought me to North Carolina. That business venture went south, no pun intended, but I met my husband that year here in the South, and well, that changed everything.

My husband and I have two Children who were both born in Salisbury NC. We've been very thankful to raise our kind in this small town. In 2008 we started Medina Construction and this business has provided for our small family and had brought us much satisfaction

In 2015 we decided we needed a second business that would provide for us in our old age as construction can be very taxing to one's body. We opened Mean Mug Coffee Company and what started out as a small one location, had turned into 5 shops over the last 9 years. 2 years ago We started our own coffee farm in our native Guatemala. A journey that has allowed us to bring all the coffee we sell from our native country allowing us to create jobs in guatemala. This is very special for us as our families left Guatemala for lack of work and opportunity. We've come full circle, 2023 was an exciting year as we opened our first drive thru and toasting facility. We look forward to our growth and continued involvement in this community we love.
